Member Fellowship: Singapore Sri Lanka Business Association (SLBA) & Sri Lanka–Singapore Business Council of the Ceylon Chamber (SLSBC)

We had the pleasure of attending the Member Fellowship event organised by the Sri Lanka–Singapore Business Council of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce in Colombo.
The cocktail reception was attended by members of the SLBA and SLSBC, alongside representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Board of Investment, Ministry of Trade, and the representatives of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
Mr Shiluka Goonerwardena, President of the SLSBC, and Ms Lakshanthi Fernando, President of SLBA, emphasised the close connections between the professional communities of Singapore and Sri Lanka and their continued commitment to collaboration between the two organisations, having entered into a Memorandum of Understanding in 2023.
Some key highlights of the evening included the presentation of the edition of “Singapore and Sri Lanka at 50: Perspectives from Sri Lanka” — co-published by the Sri Lanka High Commission in Singapore and the Institute of South Asian Studies, National University of Singapore — presented by Director General South and SE Asia and former High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Singapore, Ms Sashikala Premawardhane to Ms Fernando, as well as a raffle featuring prizes generously sponsored by Jetstar Asia amongst other sponsors.
