On 25 July 2025, the Global Federation of Sri Lankan Business Councils (GFSLBC) held its inauguration and first Annual General Meeting at the Shangri-La Hotel Colombo, under the patronage of the President of Sri Lanka, H. E. Anura Kumara Dissanayaka.
A key highlight of the event was the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Singapore Sri Lanka Business Association (SLBA) and GFSLBC, a significant milestone that marks a new era of cooperation in advancing international trade, investment and diaspora engagement.
The MOU was formally exchanged between Senaka Tiranagama, SLBA representative and Advisory Committee Member, and Mr Jagath Ramanayake, Advisor to GFSLBC, in the presence of Mr Sajeev Rajaputhra, Secretary General of GFSLBC.
